It was dated at Ncw-Orleans, when the
S Amelia failed, that the adherents of Burr
M amounted to yooomen ; and, it was believ

that numbtr. The attack, it wasexpefted,
would be made between the 20th and 30th
December. The two Gun-boats had pro.

were to afeehd as high as Point-Coupee; and
two Tomb-ketches were also ready to fol

mounting 16 guns, for the service of gov

«f In addition to the above particulars, we
learn that fcveral persons have been arrested
in the city of Ncw-®rleans; among them

The Pruftian corps of refer ve, under the

defeated with great loss—the result was
500# ptifoners, among whom were two
generals, 5 colonels, 4 ft and of colors cod
34 pieces of cannon—the regiment of Trif

Executions were numerous and bloody every

who were repaired with the loss of 600 men
from a fort, which they attacked near Cat
