MAP OF NORTH AMERICA,
From longitude 9 deg. luefi, to the Pacific
Ocean, and between 3 6 deg I and 52
north latitude,
For the convenience of fuhfcribcrs, these
several works will he delivered at the most
refpetftable commercial towns, and at the
feats of government of the rcfpe&ive daces
and territories within the union : No ad
vance is required, nor will payment be de
manded until such delivery is tirade.
Knowing that a very confuierablc pro
portion of the expence of such publications
depends on the engravings which embellilh
cr form them, and that the prccife number
of such engravings, particularly as it re
gards the second part of the work, have
not yet been fettled, tc is difficult for the
author at this moment to fix a price on
them ; he therefore declares to the public,
that his late voyage was not undertaken
with a view to pecuniary advantages, and
pledges duiiifell" that .the eftimata which he
will in this infuhee set on his literary la
bors (haU be ol the mod moderate descrip
tion ; his principal reason indeed for pro
pofrng a fuhfcription at all, is that he may
he enabled to form some eitirnate of the Hum- )
! ber of copies to be druck off.
N. B. The map will most. probably be
pub'.iihed by the latter end of October next
and the full volume of the work about the
Ift of January 1808; the two remaining
volumes will follow in fucccliion as early
as they can pcffibly be prepared for publica
tion.
As early as a just eftirnate cf the price of
the several parts of this work can be formed,
public notice will be given of the fame
through the medium of ihe Prcft.

Athens, (Geo.) January 24th 1807,
Doftor Samuel H. P. Lee,
Sir,
I have for a confidcrable time ncgleflcd
the performance of a duty which 1 owe to
humanity ; the declaring to you my appro
bation of the pills which are fold here,
under your agent, Mr. Herbert of Augaf
ta. I had been convinced of their virtues
before I left Connecticutj and I have
found in this country, their great utility,
by a confidcrable experience, both in my
own family, and among the students of the
Univcrfity. I have no htfitation of decla

pills to be one of the most uleful medicinal
preparations the world ha* yet seen ; and
that they arc peculiarly ufcful and beneficial
in southern and Bilious climates.
