1 was much inverted with Weevils in mr
barn Sec, atid did not kn >w how to get rid
of them, till 1 found Tobacco was an effec
tual remedy. They are fond of ir, eat i.t,
go off and die. I deal in tobacco, and re.
ceived two hogftieads (for which, 1 had net
room in mv cellar at the time} 1 put them
into the barn. , On removing them I found
thousands of dead Weevils on the barn floor
wh ; ch cleared it entirely of this defttuctive
animat, 1 then took two or three boxes,
containing about fix pounds of tobacco in
each, aud placed them in my granary, where
I kept wheat, &c. This was soon cleared
also, and I have not had any since. The
boxes ought to be open enough to let the
Weevils have free psff ge into them.
