THE Commander in Chief deems

should immediately assume that state of organ
ization, which will enable them to take the
field at the shortest notice-
All Officers therefore, belonging to the First
Class, will assemble at the places hereafter
mentioned, pro vided with returns of their elec
tion, and strength of their companies, where
they will receive through the Adjutant Ge
neral or an assistant* special commissions, and
likewise be informed of the views and arrange
ments of the Commander in Chief relative to the
‘election of Field Officers; which elections trill
’he held in each comity in * few days after the
convention of the officers.-
It is to be understood, that the militia from
each Brigade, will form a Battalion, and from
each division aßegiment—tliAt a Major will he
elected fiom each Brigade respectively, and a
: Colonel and Lieutenant Colonel from each "tfi*'
vision generally.. Officers'of Hide Corps, who
[jyith their companies j are at all thries subject
