Bank to be called “ The Bank of the
State Georgia," for the purpose of ma
king the necessary arrangements prepar.

man Walker, appointed Secretary.
Os motiuS, Resolved , That the Books
oi subscription for the purposes embrac
ed in the before recited act, be opened on
the first day of February ntx’, at the
Globe Tavern , in the city of Augusta, at
10 o’clock, a. u. and remain open until
3 o’clock, p. m, and that the said books
be kept opui (between the hours of 10 o'-
clock in the forenodn, and 3 o’clock in
the afternoon) from day to day, Sunday’s
excepted, until the eighteen hundred
shares allowed to be subscribed for in
Augusta, shall be taken up.
Resolved, That seventeen per cent be
paid down on the amount of stuck sub.
scribed for—one third of which sum shall
be paid either in specie, Bank Bills of the
Planter’s Bank, (Georgia) dr Batik Bills
of the Bank of Augusta, (Georgia) ami
the other two thirds may be paid cither
in specie, Bank Bills of either the 'Banka
before mentioned, or Bank Bills of the
)ianks of South-Carohns, or Bank Bills
of the State Bank of North Carolina.
Resolved, That the Chairman and Mr.
Howard, be a committee to provide the
necessary Books, and make the proper
•arrangements for carrying into effect the
first Resolution.
Reached, That the Chabman and Sci
cretafy correspond with the Commissi,
oners appointed, in different parts of the
State, by the act before recited, and in.
form them of the steps taken by this
Board, and the reasons which influenced
them in permuting the first instalment of
the diffeient subscription® to be made,
cither ia.specie or bills, at the option of
the person subscribing.
Resolved, That the proceedings pf this
Meeting be published in the newspapers
of this city. r
The Board thpn adjourned to meet a
