Ream), June 7 ts BOAT OWNERS ILL take notice that the 101st sec tion of the General Ordinance of the city of Augusta, will be enforced after the first of June—lt reads as follows“ All Boats not in actual use, shall be removed from opposite the city, during the mpnttfs of June, July, August, September and Oc tober, annually. Boats found opposite the city, during the above named months of the year, containing water in the holds, shall be seized by any officer of Council aiid conveyed from the city. ABSCONDED from the subscriber, liv ing near Augusta, on the 13th instant, » mullatto negro woman, named SARAH; She is about thirty five or forty years of age, thin visage, with a scar on her cheek, probably occasioned by the whip- She may aim lor Milledgeville, as she is well acquainted there, having lived |n the fa mily ot Mr. Thomas Husen of that place; I hare reasons to believe she has a forged pass in her possession and probably a free one, which she may rely’ ftpon in travel ling. All persons aw cautioned against employing her in any way, as the law will be rigidly mforced against any person of fending in lhai way. This line will leave Edgefield court-house every Wednesday morning, on the arrival of the Augusta stage—and if cheapness, case and health be of any importance in travelling, this Line ought surely to meet with a portion of the public patronage, particularly in the warm season.
