June 7-—if ’ boat nwmm take notice that the 101»t sec tion of the Genera) Ordinance of the city of Augusta, viil be enforced after the first of June—lt reads as follows“ All Boats not in actual use, shall be removed from opposite the city, during the months ofJune, July, August, September and Oc tober, annually. Boats found opposite the city, during the above named months of the year, containing water in the holds, shall be seized by !>"y officer ot Council and conveyed from the city. Any person violating this section shall be fined, %t the discretion of Counci), in a sum nut ex ceeding one hundred dollars per day; and shall, moreover, be liable for all expenpes incurred in removing such boat or boats.*' June 4—ts All persons are here by cautioned against cutting or hauling Wood, Light-wood, or Timber of any des cription from the Spring-Hill-Mill tract of Land, lately a part of the estate of Seaborn Jones, Esq. deceased, and which is at pre sent in the occupancy of Col. July 16—i 'fit Btop the Runaway, ABSCONDED from the subscriber, liv ing near Augusta, on the 13th instant, a mullatto negro woman, named SABAHi She is about thirty five or forty years of age, thin visage, with a scar on her cheek, probably occasioned by the whip. She may a.in for Millcdgeyille, as she is well acquainted there, haying fived in the fa mily of Mr. Thomas Husen of that place; 1 have reason? to believe she has a forged pass in her possession and probably a free one, wfiich she may rely upon in travel ling. All persons are cautioned against employing her in any w?y, as the law will be rigidly mforced against any person of fending in that vyay.
