Be it enacted by ibe Senate and House
of Representatives of the United Slates
of America in Congress aseembled. That
in each and every case whtre u citizen o? ,

to commence a suit in the Circuit Comt
of the United States for either the Dis
trict ol East or AVest Tennessee, against
Iwo or more ci'izens of the stale ot I en
nessee, some of whom reside in East ant!
some in AVest Tennessee, it shall and
may he lawful for such citizen to cause
the Clerk of the Cimtit Court, in winch
' he may elect to commence his suit, to is
’ sue duplicate writs; one directed to'he
marshal of East, and the oilier to the
marshal es West Tennessee; which vvrils
it shall he the duty es the rep-clUe mar
shals to exe cute and return, and when re
turned they shall be docketed and pto
