structed four wheel Vehicles, drawn by
! four horses each, and drove by sober and
careful drivers, will set out from Trenton
2 in New-Jersey to Savannah, via Augusta
in Georgia, on or about the 15lh day of
September next. The route through
t Pennsylvania, Virginia and the Carolinas,
will be confined as much to the leighbor
hood of mountains, as the good roads
through the country will allow. The
journey will be leisurely taken, so as to
consume from four to five or Sven six
weeks, dependent somewhat upon the in
clination of persons who may become pas
sengers,
i, Those who are disposed to engage seats
for the above described journey, cin do so
by applying to the Post master of Savan
nah Priority in the choice of seats will
be regulated by numbering the firs; anpli
cant one, which will entitle that person to
the first selection and so on to the last.
An entire carrjage can be taken up by en.
gaging the number of seats.

There are few so ignorant as not to
Hnow, that a work like this, ii' even tole
tably executed, must possess instringic
value. The compilation of this book is
allowed by competent judges, to be per
fumed in a very masterly maimer; and
the well known character of the gentle
man whose name it bears, forbids the idea
of any deficiency of itidusliy or talent,
in executing the important service confid
ed to him by the Legislature.
It is believed that every man who can
conveniently buy (his work ought to pos
sess it, because it behoves every citizen
to have some knowledge of the laws of
his country. The opinion expressed by
Judge illackslone js certainly correct,
t bat “As iveiy one is interested in the
“ preservation of the Laws, it is incum
“ bent upon every man to be acquainted
“ with those at least, with which he is im-
M mediately concerned; lest he incur
“ the censure, as well as inconvenience,
“ of living in society, without knowing
“ the obligations which it lays him un
