In the Senate, yesterday, Mr. Marcy, pro scuted a memorial from sbmtry merchants and others, of Boston, praying that (he present char- I Her of the Bank of the United States may not he | ■venewed; and that an act of incorporate n may I hit passed for a hank with a capital of fifteen mil lions of dollars, reserving to the Government the -p ivilege of subscribing for one-half of the stock, and limiting the subscription to the remainder to citizens ofthe U. The several numbers of 47,000, 47,700, 5(1,0(10, 53,000, 51,000, and 40,000 were successively proposed and rejected, and the committee rose and reported the bill to the House without amendment.
