Mobile Market, June 6.
COTTON.—A little more animation than is
usual in a market so reduced in slock as ours is
at this time, has been visible within the last two
days. On Wednesday about 1,900 bales ehang
ed hands, and a disposition to continue transac
tions, on the part of buyers was kept up on yes
terday. We make no alteration in our quota
tions this week, at the same lime, wo would
remark, that strictly choice Cotton, might com
mand a price a shade above 13j«. The princi
pal sales however, have been Irom II lo!3c.
New Orleans Market, June 2.
There has been quite a fair business done in
Cottons this week, tor the very limited quantity
now in market for sale ; the Block of Louisi na
and Mississippi, in particular, is so reduced that
we are told it would be difficult at this time, to
find 1000 bales for sale. Our quotations for
Tennessee and North Alabama, it will bo per
ceived are advanced sous to correspond tosales,
having previously bean too low. The sales this
