From the flattering encouragement we have re ceived during tlie present year,' wo have made every exertion, and have succeeded in engaging the services of first rate teachers in the several departments of tlie institution.—They bring with them testimonials of religious character and liter ary attainments from many of the most influen tial gentlemen in the United States. We have made arrangements to have a Stew ard’s Hall attached to the Institution, at the head of which will be Mrs. D'BSTE, an elderly lady, whoso domestic habits and experience in the government of young ladies, arc very high [ly extolled. We have been led to this step, from tho inconvenience which young ladies j experience in going to and coming from their | boarding houses during inclement weather; from the time they lose, owing to the domestic arrange i menls of other houses, Hot cOrlcsponding with jour own; for the sake of having all the young ladies, at all times, under the supervision of the | teachers, as many of them are disposed to heglcct i their studios, and become careless of their man ners and language when not subjected to sbcli a check ; and, finally, the teachers cannot feel them selves as responsible for those who board else where, as for those who board with them.'
