ern Literati, enjoy more enviable distinction tharv
Liebig and Jobsstox, Bucssixgxui.t and Candolle ?
The taste for Agricultural Literature iu our country,
-thanks to the able Journals that encourage it, keeps
pace with its progress in Europe. The more fully
to meet the demand thus created, we have decided
to publish on the first day of July, and monthly there
after, tire Farjuk’s Lujhasy and MoxnrLr Jous-

I. THE FARMERS’ LIBRARY, in which will
be published continuously the hest Standard Works
on Agricnkure, embracing those which, by their cos
or tire language in which they are written, wouk
otherwise seem beyond the reach of nearly all A-
merican Farmers. In this way we shall ghre for two
or three dollars the choicest European treatises and
researches in Agriculture, costiag ten tiurea aa much

nice, and virtually out of the reach of men who live
nr following the plow. In the Farmers’ Library
they, will be accompanied by notes from the Editor,
explaining what may be obscure to American read

works published in the Library will form a com

of Natural Science, and developing the rich treas

yielded and may yield to lighten the labors and
swell .the harvest of the intelligent husbandman.—
