all trouble of winding thread is avoided, while the

Mortgage, dated the twentieth (20th) day of February
Iwighioeu hundred and fifty-eight. George W. Crumiiny
conveyed to the said Wm. M. Slaughter and Lewis S.
McGwire, a lot in the city of Albany, known and distin- |
gnLshetl in the plan of said city us lot number twenty-eight

thereon, known as “Phillips’ Grocery” for the purpose of
securing the payment of a promissory note made by the
said Geo. W. Grummey to tho said Wm. M. Slaughter
and Lewis S. McGwire, due on the first day of January

interest from date, which note i* still due aud unpaid.—It
is ordered that the said Goo. W. Crummey do pay into
this Court by the first day of the next term, the principal
and interest on said note, and tile cost of this proceeding,

closure be granted to the said Win. M. Slaughter and
Lewis S. McGwier and the Equity of Redemption of tho

W. Crummey, of the property of Crummey &. Horn, of
paid county, made and delivered to Petitioner a promisso
ry note, in toese words: Albany, Ga., Dec. 22d. 1857—
One day after dale I promise to pay J. M. Cocnran, (of
this firm Cochran &. Bevorly) or Marer, Eight Hundred
and seventy-nine Dollars and thirty-nine (gnt*. value re
ceived for lumber fumiibed in building Crummey House.
And afterwards ta wit; oa the 31st day ol January, 1857.
Hk! George W. CrariWhey and Thomas S. Horn executed
a mortgage on the House and Lot in the Oily of Albu
Ga., known there aa the Cramnwy House, end now
centljr as the Isabella House aoa Lot, conditioned that ...
the payment of said promissory *Ote according to the tenor
nnd effect tncreof, said mortgage as well as said note,shall
be null and void, and it further appearing that the said
note remains unpaid. . •. ,
ItU therefore ordered that the said George W. Crummey
and T- S. Horn do pay into Court by tho first, day of the
next Term thereof, principal interest and cost thereon
raid note, (or show c^uso why he t-huuldnoU and that on
failure of said Crummey so to do, the Equity of Redemp
tion in aud to said mortgage premise*, be Ibrever hereafter
barred, and foreolbilbd.^ And it is further ordered that this
Rule be published in the Albany Patriot, ora public Jour
nal published in the City of Albany, Ua., and a copy there
of served on said Ceorgo W. Crummey,. or his special
Agent or Attorneys, at Last three months previous to the
