R easons why the grover & baker Ma- chine is universally prefered for family sewing: 1st. It is more simple, and easier kept in order, than any other Machine. 2d. It makes a seam which will not rip or ravel, though every third stitch is cot. 3d. It sews from two ordinary spools, and thus all trouble of winding thread is avoided, while the same machine can be adapted at pleasure, by a mere change of spool, to all varieties of work. 4th. The same machine runs silk, linen thread, and common spool cotton with equal facility. 5th. 2-be seam ia aa elastic aa the most elastic fabric, so that it is free from all liability to break in washing, ironing, or otherwise. - 6th. The stitch made by this machine is more beautiful than any other made, either by hand or machine.
