1. Subscribers who do not give express notice to the
contrary, are considered as wishing to coutinue their sub
scription.
S. If subscribers order the discontinuance of their news
papers, the publisher may continue to send them until all
arrearages an' paid.
I. Jt subscribers neglect or refuse to take their newspa
pers from the offices to which they are directed, they are
held responsible until they have settled the bills and order
ed them discontinued.
4. If subscribers remove to other places without inform
ing the publisher, and the newspapers are sent to the for
mer places, they are held respon-tble.
5. The Courts have decided that refusing to take news
papers from the offices, or removing and leaving them un

6. The United States Courts have also repeatedly do-
elded, that a postmaster who neglects to perform hie duty
of giving reasonable notice, as required by the Post Office
Department, of the neglect of persons to take from the

ges and take said Mule away, or it will be dealt
with os the law directs.
