SPECIAL NOTICES.
A Now Cotton House at ApalaoUoola, Fla.
From all accounts* from South-Western Georgia,
it appears that there is still a great quantity of cot
ton in this section. Up to the present time,
the holders thereof have beem unable to forward
the same to market, for lack of trunspartsvtion and
other assistance necessary. Messrs. E V ,M« Bruce
4 Co., of Augusta, having learned the situation in
this part of the State, have determined upon estab
lishing a house at Apalachicola. Florida, for the
purpose of rendering the planters in South-Western
Georgia, Eastern Alabama, and Florida, the same
assistance they do holders of cotton In other sec
tions. The new firm will be'carried on under the
name of B. M. Bruce 4 Co., Morgen 4 Co.
We have spoken before of the great benefits plan
ters and holders of cotton bave received by availing
themselves of the privileges extended to them by
this house. It U unnecessary to refer to them
again. The great benefits ere too apparent. And
the holders of cotton in this sectien of the South in
which E. M. Bruce, Morgan A Co., proposes to ex*
Lend their business, will soon-find out that what
these gentlemen are willing to do for them in the
way of taking charge of their productions, if as
much for tae benefit ef the owner as for the party
