State Road, that both of his legs have been
amputated -one at the ankle, the other above
tho knee. A few days ago, Jim Dean, a wor
thy and industrious colored man of our city,
waa killed by falling from a trestle while en
gaged in constructing a bridge on the Will’s
Valley Railroad. On Thursday night laat,
Mr. Bam Stewart shot, and wounded, a colored
man at thu Fair Grounds—no particulars as
yet.
