Several trains of wagons, with an aggregate
of seventy hales of cotton, arrived here yester
day from Houston and Dooly counties, in the
inteiior of this State. Most of the cotton re
ceived in this way is raised bv small farmers,
and tbe neatness and security with which it is
packed, will bring an advance on the same
grades usually brought by steamers down the
Female Orphan Asylum.
It will be seen from an advertisement in an
ither column, that the lady managers of the
