Finale of the Bradley Trial
\W understand that it is generally
known that the Military Com mission be-
tore which Aaron A, Bradley waa recently
tru'd for using seditious language in a
public meeting, has found him “guilty”
the several charges, and sentence*
him to hard labor at Fort Pulaski for
one year.
A Worthy UurdiaE at the Peace
On Saturday afternoon a “melee” took
place near Washington Square, between
an inebriated Policeman on his post, and
• ue of our mast respectable citizens, in
the course of wliich the club of the dere
lict officer was forcibly taken possession
of by the sober citizen ami held os a
trophy. The cause of the difficulty Is
unknown to us, bat the fact of a guardian
of the public peace being in a state o*
in toxica tioh while upon duty, is a severe
reflection upon the morale of some of the
police force. “Verity winoia a mock-jr,”
at Further comment is unnecessary.

A Bold Bobbery of a IKale.
Ha Friday evening a rascally thief en
tered Mr. Norris’s stable, between six
and seven o'clock, and concealing him-
„elf in one of the stalls, patiently awaited
the departure of the hostlers, who were
busily engaged in grooming the horses.
As soon as the colored men employed in
the premises had left the stable for the
night, the bold thief coolly entered one
of the stalls, and selecting one ot the
direst mules in the stable, wended his way
through the lane, leaving the stable door
wide open.
About au hour after the mule was
missed by its owner and a vigorous
search was immediately made for the
uni mid. So close and warm was the pur
suit of the thief that he deemed it pru
ilmt to boat a hasty and somewhat
inglorious retreat by abandoning bis
coveted plunder in one of the public
stables, where it was afterwards found
and restored to its rightful owner. No
clue has yet been obtained to the robber.
We understand that, of late, several
stables have been entered and valuable
horses and mules stolen. Wo would ud
vise onr stabler* to keep a sharp lookout
to their premises.
