plied upon the receipt of the Muster Kells. 1 now earn

Such Companies a3 are now organized as well as those
in nrocess of organization must coniorm to the following!
1st. None but non-conscript and exempts can be re
ceived into any company.
2d. When the company is unwilling to embrace for de
fense (he whole State, the Muster lloU will prescribe with
precis;-'P the local ty proposed to be defended.
fid. The Companies will be ordered out only when their
districts are threatened, and will be kept in the field only
so long as the danger of invasion exists.
4th. While on duty they will receive like allowances
with the soldiers of the regular service.
5th. The Company officers will be elected—the egi-
ment.il appointments will be made by the President .
’ 6th. These troops, after organization into regiments,
will not t-e subject to military duty, and only to such du-

H AVING been authorized by General ITowe’J Cobb
to raise a Regiment of infantry for the war, to
serve in his Department of Middle Florida, I now call
upon all persons exempt, or subject to conscription, re
siding in his Department, as welljas in the Counties of
Baker, Oiihun, Clay, Decailr,Dougherty, Lee, Mitchell,
llilitr, Randolph. Terrell, Thomas, Worth, Chattahoo
chee, Marion, Uuitman, 8tuatt, Sumter, Schley f Taylor,
Webster ,Ehr!y, and Muscogee, to come forward and vol
unteer at once.
By special authority from he Secretary of War, I am
also peimitted to receive into my Regiment, either sing
ly or Dy Companies, from ail portions of the State, per
£G-'s between the ages of 40 and 45.
The enrollment under the recent extension of the
Conscript age, wiil soon commence, and unless you vol
unteer immediately, your chance will be lost-for choos-
