OUR FATHER.
uv are kneeling at Thy throne, Father,

O and save our stricken land,
’Remove this scourge away.
(iloorn gathers rouno each cheerful hearth.
\ shade is cn each brew;
Oh Father, hear enr humble rrayci,
And save our country now.
O sadly li-ive we sinned. Father,
But cr2v< forgiveness now,

V,' le here we humbly bow.
Yf.o-t have scorned Thy holy will,

Then hear us up In heaven, to-d iy,
And bless ns from on high.-

i:mg pen a,sweet peace, again, Father,
no more blood be shed,

Tin- living, too, our dearest ones—
They Buffer far away;

FOR SALE.
B Y permission of the Honorable.Tames S. Hook, Judge
of the Middle Circuit, we now offer f rsale that de-
firahle and valuable property known as 611LLEN, loca
ted at the junction of the Central and Augusta Railroad.
The tract contiics about 240 acres more or less, 109
acres cleared and in a high state of cultivation, with Or
chards and Vineyards, the balance in woods. Of the
uncleared land there is about 50 acres first quality ham
mock, which wiiiproditce from £0 to 75 bushels of corn
per acre.
The improvements are furnished with gas and water
throughout. Both Hie Central and Augusta Railroads
passing through the tiact, forming a junction near (he
middle, make it one of the be3t stands in the Confedera
cy for merchandising and hotel keeping.
It is seldom that property possessing such great advan
tages is thrown on the market. The location is perfectly
healthy. Jn the hands of an enterprising man it could
be made ihc most valuable in the Confederacy,by laying
iteff in lots and selling them. Doable the sum asked
for the place could he realized, and the best part cf the
property leil, which would pay ou the rents an annual
interest or from 10 to 14 per cent, on the capital. It
would not be offered for s is w< re it not that the propri
etor is disable I from physical infirmities, which he finds
growing on trim ua'.ly, to give it that attention it requires.
Now is the time fer you who are seeking profitable in
vestments, or wishing to make .ortunes by speeuhting,
to lay hold, for you may never meet with such another
opportunity.
