EXPLANATION
Of the Supplementary Scheme,and Mode of Drawings
In this greet scheme, which has become so very popu
lar throughout the United States, purchasers select their
own numbers, and whatever price they may think pro
per to pay for their tickets, ami prizes are paid accord
ingly. Any person can go to any vender of the Georgia
State Lottery, select their own numbers, aud the vendor
will give a ticket of the same—the vendor will enter tho
same numbers upon the Manager’s register—and pur
chasers will be careful to see them entered upon tho reg
ister, as the managers are responsible lor that only.
Every ticket has the class numbered on it, and the draw
ings are iu public, us follows: On the drawing ol the
lottery numbers from 1 to 78. printed ou separate pieces
of paper, are encircled with brass tubes, and one by oue
placed lu a brans wheel. Tho wheel Is revolved and the
numbers well mued. It is then opened, and a hoy. blind
folded. draws out one nuiuher, whieh is opeued-and ex
hibited to tho audience. This operation is repeated until
tho whole 12 numbers are drawn out, aud these 12 num
bers decide all tickets in that class. All numbers drawn

Buyers choose their own numbers. Tho drawings are
la public, audit he prizes are paid immediately upon the
drawing, without any deduction. Tickets lor sale at
Manager’s office, Broad street. Also, at office, corner of
Whitehall and Decatur streets. The first drawing of the
Supplementary class takes place on Wednesday, tho 3d
April, 1367, at 6 o’clock, J\ M, and coiitiuue from day to

The City of Atlanta shall be laid off into flvo wards, an
follows, to-wlt:
rinsT ward.
Commencing at the crossing of Whitehall street with
the Western A Atlantic Railroad, and running up the
south side of said railroad to the incorporation line, then
down said line to the contor of Whitehall street, then
north along the center of said street to tho starting point,
and which shall be known and constitute Ward number
One.
SECOND WARD.
Commencing at tho center of the crossing of Whitehall
street, at the Western & Atlantic Railroad, and running
east down the railroad to the crossing of Calhoun street.
In the rear of tho Georgia Railroad workshop, then south
aloug tho middle of sold street to tho center of McDon
ough street, thence aloug the center of McDonough street,
to the incorporation line, then along said line to the cen
ter of Whitehall street at its crossing at the Incorporation
line, then along the couter of said street to tho starting
point, which shall lx; known and constitute Ward num
ber Two.
TIAIUD WARD.
Commencing at tho center of Calhoun streot, at it*
south crossing of tho Georgia Railroad workshop, and
running down the south side of said railroad to the in
corporation line, thou aloug said line to tho center of Me
Donough street to the starting point, which shall consti
tute and be known as Ward number Throe.
FOURTH WARD.
Commencing ou the north side of tho Georgia Railroad,
in the center of the crossing of said railroad by Loyd
street, and ruuning down tho north side of said railroad
to the Incorporation Hue, then along said line to Ivy
street, then along the center of Ivy street to Decatur
street, then along said street west to tho center of Loyd
to the starting point, which shall constitute and he
kuowu as Wura number Four.
FIFTH WARD.
Commencing at the north of said railroad, at the . ~..

aloug the north side of the Western A Atlautic Railroad
