round numbers $25,000, which wrill more than

current expenses to the lust of Pabruary, 1808.
I'he outstanding bonded debt is $20,050.
The same authority has also assessed 12 |ier

it is believed, will raise about $4,000, which,
with some $1,200 now on hand, will pay the tui

Theater Last Nlglat.
The first performance ol the new theatrical
company, at the Bell-Joluisou llall Inst night,
was attended by a large and fashionable audi
ence. The play of Puarro, with Capt. and Mrs.
Crisp in the two leading diameters, was admira
bly rendered, the new company supporting those
distinguished artists iu excellent style. Mrs.
Crisp's Elcira was especially line, while Capt.
Crisp as Holla fully sustained the high reputation
lie enjoys in every principal American city. The
play was scarcely a (It one to exhibit fully the
merits of the company, though each member
was well received by the audience, and we pre
dict that they will grow iu tavor as they become
better known.
“ Our Jessie" was of course uproariously-
greeted by ber many trieiids, and was truly
happy in the comedy that concluded the per
formance.
To-night Mdebtth will be enacted.
V. I. BUtrteI Coart.
