turn him to Elizabeth Gainer, or the snbscrilier, or
lodge him in any safe jail, shall receive the above re
ward, and all reasonable charges paid.

yg)RESUMING that aNEW MAP of the STATE,
jjf representing all tbe New Territory acquired by
the different Treaties with the Indians, would be ve
ry acceptable to the public, 1 have determined to em
bark in the undertaking as soon as five hun.dred sub
scribers are procured. Immediately tbercafter, 1 will
prepare the Original Map, and will place it in tbe
hapds of some eminent Engraver. Copies will be de
livered to subscribers at the expiration of one year
from this date, il that patronage is afforded which is
solicited. It will require three months to prepare the
Original Alan forthe Engraver, aud about five months
to exeente the engraving. Those to whom subscrip-
tion papers are forwarded wtR please return them at
the end of three months.
Copies neatly varnished, colored and fixed on Roll
ers, will be delivered to subscribers at Six Dollars, and
to non-subscribers at Eight Dollars. In this Map, the
New Counties, together with the several Districts and
their Numbers, all the new County Towns, Public
Roads, and other remarkable objects will be delinea
ted with the nearest mathematical accuracy.
The patronage of a liberal and enlightened public
is most respectfully solicited; and the subscriber as
sures those who may patronise Ibe work, that it will be
executed in the first style of elegance and taste, and
that it will be founded on the plan of tbe District Sur
veyors and other authentic documents deposited in the
Suntybr General's Office. Tbe plan will he of the
same size as the Map of tbe State published by my fa
ther, and will (so platted by a scale of eight miles to an
