At Savannah, on the 10th instant, after n long
and distressing disease, Mr. Frederick Shick Fell,
senior editor of tho Savannah Republican, and a
native of Savannah. Ho wished well to his
country; and, to tho utmost oi his ability, endeav
ored to servo her—having not not only prior to
and during the late war with England attached
himself warmly to tho democratic party, but also
as an officer of the Savannah Volunteer Guards,
went with that company into Florida, when it
was invited there to take possession of St. Au
gustine, with the view of protecting the frontiers
of the State against tho incursions of the English
and Indians—and he continued in constant and
active membership with that company to the end
of the war. Peaco bo to his spirit.
At Augusta, on the 10th instant, Mrs. Cold-
well, wife of Colonel Coldwoll, of that city.—At
Augusta, on the 12qji instant, Mr. L. Florence.
On Wednesday, the 26th of October, at his re
sidence in Oglethorpe county, JOHN LUMP
KIN, Esq. a Soldier of the Revolution, aged 76
years.
On tho 7th Inst, in the 03th year of her age, af
ter a short but severe illness, Mrs. LUCINDA
BETTON, consort of Capt. S. Bctton of Mil-
ledgeville. Twenty-six years membership in the
Church of Christ and a life of piety, charity, nnd
uuhounding kindness, are the memorials she has
left to her sorrwing friends, and the well ground
ed hope, that this mother in Israel has received
from her Redeemer, tho soul kindling wclcomo,
“well done, thou good and faithful servant,” their
best consolation.

execute any contract for the BUILDING of
BOATS on any plan that proprietors may de
sire, and in a maimer as durnblo and workman
like (both as to model ami execution) as any boats

be found inferior in workmanship to any otlier
