I will hero remark, that this lime tins been tested
by some of tbe best judges nnd mechanics of our
country, and found to ue good. The only objection
to tbe lime is, it being u shade or two darker than
tho Northern lime; but indi pendent of this, for brick
work, inner coats of plastering, tunnerics, cement
and durability, it is inferior to noue. Annexed is i
certific&tefromlbetwo principal workmen iu Macon,
Who have been in the habit, lor the lust three years,
of U’ingtbe tame, which will diurv tor itself. 1 could
faralsb many more, but doem it unnecessary, (rum the
known standing of those gentlemen ns masons In this
section of the country; which toois n sufficient warran
tee against any imposiliuo upon the public. It i
true the prejudices against the limct this country
did,to a considerable extent, operate the linie
of Crawford county, and it was with aiurii Jiffieulty
those prejudices Imve been removed, which, to- come
time, kept tile latter timeout of the market. Still,
there is yet some in oxUtencc, which I hope tusk-
way, and a trial is only wanted to remove it. The
demand lias inareassa and continues to increase,
which is a convincing proof of its geuuinrurii. Ex
periment and experience have, so far ns It has been tri
ed. proved it equal to tho Northern lime, when in i n
unslaked state. I will fuitber add. that I have no de
sign upon tbe community in which 1 live nr upon the
public. But havibg for my object, a wish to make
a busiecs* of it, should it justify me in to doing, nod
holding tho only quarry in this immediate section oi
country, are my rcesons for this exposition. Fur a
further proof ol my motives, take the erticle, and trv
it) and if tt dons not come up to the reconuni aita
lion. I will bate nothing for it, [Here follows the
ccrtificatu:]
Wo Intve been in tue habit of using Mr Jostm

it as good a* any we have for use in this |dace, either

Northern Lime is, that the former is not quite as
white. DAVID F. WILSON
