Hun dreds of applications to euler students have I cen re- jrcted during the year for the want of accommoda tion. The writer Baa been urged by several respecta ble and literary gentlemen, who have promised their sons, to.open asmilar one in Georgia and he now de signs' to make the experiment. So many months have elapsed iiv fixing on a site, since he formed the determination, that lie lias not nowtime instate all the particulars of his plan; nur will he make high pre tensions in regard to his qualifications nor the amount that shall belearned. lie will endeevorhoweverto impart ibstrnction as far And as well as he is able. Assistance will be procured in teaebingthe mechanic arts anil some of the common branches of Education. The object is tor make practical men and qualify them to become good teachers of schools. in government, he will endeavor to act the part of n parent and treat the pupils as his children; but he must be oboyed. He desires no parent to send his son who is unwilling to have him submit to the regula tions ofthe school. Each student will labor hco or three hours in the day or about one day and a half in the week. Care will he taken, hs tho weather grows warm, that they he not exposed .to a mid-day sun, till they become inured to athletic exercise, by employ- iiig'tlic mornings and evenings. many hour, will not be requisite all the year, hut in a busy season, somewhat more.
