Fb took place on Friday, tiie " ™^ lfltlt instant. On whith oc casion the student* were cri tically nod minutely exam- ned on tiie various branches which had occupied their at tention duriug tlte preceding session. The precision ami irspicuity of their recitations, tbe promptitude and accuracy of their answers, to tho various in terrogatories, evinced, in our judgment, iu no smaii degree, much industry, talents, and unques tionable acquirements on the part of rite Instruc tress. reflect not a little credit on the promising genius of tlte students, ant) must have been pecu liarly gratifying to immediate relatives. The ex amination was succeeded by an exhibition, in Itieh the students sustained their respective parts ith such singular ability, as to surpass tho ex pectations of the most sanguine. 'I be order and good deportment of the students, during the whole of tiie period, clearly evinced tho most judicious discipline. It is with much pleasure that we in form tho public, that tho next session of this school will commence on the first Monday in Ju ly next. Young ladies from abroad may be ac commodated with board, on reasonable terms, in respectable families near to the Institution^ The rottrao of studies, in this Seminary, comprises all the branches necessary to a useful nnd substan tial education, together with such ornamental branches as are generally taught in other institu tions of a similar kind, including all tho variety of plain and ornamental Needle work. To tlioso who aro acquainted with the tnlcuts, ccompILhraents, and amiable character of Mrs. HaADLET, it would, wo presume, he superfluous to add a solitary remark as to her competency to preside over nn Institution of this kind. The ex perience which Mrs. B. has had in this avocation, connected with the universal satisfaction which she has rendered, during her residence in this place, to all impartlal persons, fully authorize us to state, that none will be disappointed who intrust their daughters to her itistmction and discipline.
