had on a small bell; hut I suppose some person
lias taken it off. I will pay a liberal reward for

any information so that I can get her.

T HE petition of James A. Everitt, respectfully
shexv’cth, that on the fifteenth day of April, in
the year otAiir Lord one thousand eight hundred and
tbirty-lwo.^eorge II. Sims exrcutcd and delivered
to your petitioner his deed of mortgage, bearing
date the day and year aforesaid, in and to a certain
tract or parcel of land, situnte in the ninth district of
said county of Houston, and knoxvn Riid distinguish
ed in the plan of said district by number two hundred
and tbirty-five, containing two hundred txvo nnd a
half acres »f land more or less, for the purpose of se
curing the payment of a promissory note of even date
with the said mortgage deed, by which said note, the
said George H. Sims promised, on or before the first
day of January next thereafter, to pay your petition
er o*4iearer two hundred dollars tor value received.
And your petitioner cailh, that although said promis
sory note has long since been due, yet the said George
II. Sims hag not paid the same, or any part thereof.
Wherefore, it is on motion, ordered, that unless (lie
said George H. Sims do pay into the clerk’s office of
this court, the principle nnd interest due on said
promissory note together with the cost of this applica
tion, within six months from the. date of this applica
tion. or shew sufficient cause to the contrary; that the
equity of redemption in. and to the said mortgaged
premises, be then and from thence forward, forever
barred and foreclosed. And it is further ordered,
that a copy of this rule be published in one -of the
public gazettes of this State, once a month for four
months, orserved ou the said George 11. Sims in per
son, three months previous to the next term of this
court.
