MV DEAR SIR, —I desire to *t»te a few
instanced of good resulting from the use
of tho Pain Iviller. The first caso tint l shall
mention in which I performed a cure was that of
a servant boy who bid his right h aud severely
scalded by the falling of boiling oil on it, was in
few days perfectly cured by the application of a
mixture of Cream uuil Pain Killer, as directed in
such cases. Then my girl was cured of an ob
stinate cough Lastly,! shall refer to mvsolf—
l took the medicine—not from any confidence l
hid in it; on the contrary, l took it with a great
deal of fear—however, I must own that it several
times relieved me of cold in tho chest—and it
<jured mo of a fever—of pain in the kneo—snd
an ulcer in the mouth. In addition to the above
a case of cholera was brought to ray notice; a
Coachman was attacked with this disease, and
medicines kept for this complaint were given to
tho m m without any effect, and, as tho last re
sort, when he wn**Jold ami speechless, the Pain
Killer was administered, which threw a warmth
into tho system ami revived his sinking energy
—in short, tho mow wok restored.
R. W CHILL, Calcutta, India.
DbarSirs—We begin selling Perry Davis’
Pain Killer With very little effort on our part;
sales were mu ill -at first, but as it became known
iiWihr eoiunTutnty, the demand increased very
npi'dly, far beyond our expectations, and every
person that bought it would come after more,
a rid speak in thj highest terms of it as a valuable

hudneod to uSc it in our own families, and now
CKVtmua its use with great, sitisfiction. We
lave sold more of the Pain Killer than we ever
laswo since or before of any other medicine in the
aamj length of tim »au l we do not hesitate to
say tint It gives bettor satisfaction to the jmr
ch user than any other article we have ever sold.
Hurry of business has prevented our sending
ceriiuc&tea. but we hue infour vicinity from
fifteen hundred to two thousand living witnesses
who testify to their neighbors, day by day, of
tha value of Davis’ Pain Killer. Keep a largo
supply in nhe West, it is just such a medicine
as the people want, and they have already found
•out that they 'can cure the fever and ague lor
twenty-live cents. It will cure a cold in one
hour—a severe cough in one night—and lias
prove 1 to be the best medicine in use for a dis
eased stomach and manv other purposes.

Pbkrt Davis’ Vico stable Pain* kn.MSR.—
Voluntarily, conscientiously, and with much
pleasure, we recommend to our readers the
above named medicine. We sneak fro n pur own
observation and experience when we sav that it

for checking diarrh<ea, and removing the pro
monitory symptoms of cholera. It is applied
both internally and externally, with tlr* best
effects, and none who have mice used the Pain
Killer, would willingly be without it c uistautiv
in their hrfaacs. —Clncinn iU Ecenina Xonmreil.

PROFESSOR WOOD’S IIAIR RESTORA
TIVE, is, no doubt, the most wonderful dis
covery of ibis ace of progress, for it will restore,
tu riutincntlv, gray huir to its original color, cover
the’hesd of the bald with a most luxuriant growth,
remove at once all dandruff and itching, cure all
scrofula and other cutaneous eruptions, such as
scald head, ete. It will cure, as if by magic, ner
voiis or periodical headache ; make the hairscft,
gJossv, and waw, and preserve the color perfect
ly, and the hair from falling, to extreme old age.
‘ We could give the testimony of more than one
hundred thousand to the truth of every word we
I have written. See circular and the following:
j The following is from a distinguished member
of the medical profession:
St. J’tiul, Jaunary Ist, 1555.
Professor O. J. Wood —Dear Sir: Unsolicited
I send you this certificate. After being nearly
j bald for u long time, and having tried all the hair
restoratives extant, and haying no faith in any, 1
I was induced on hearing of your*, to give it a
, trial. I placed myself in the hands of a barber,
I aud had my head rubbed with a good stiff brush,
i and the Restorative then applied, and well rubb
ed in, till the scalp was a glow. This 1 repeated
j every morning, and in three weeks the young hair
I appeared, and grew rapidly from August last till
the present time, and is now thick, black and
' strong —soft and pleasant to the touch; where**,
i before, it was harsh and wiry, what, little there
i was of it, and that little was disappearing very
i rapidly. I still u*c your Restorative about twice
; a week, and shall soon have a good and perfect
! crop of hair. Now, if I had read of these things
i —an 1 who has not?--but-have not seen hitherto
! anv case where any person’s hair was really ben
efited by any of the hair tonics, etc., of the day;
and it really gives me pleasure to record the re
sult of my experience. 1 h ive recommended
; vour preparation to others, and it already has a
I large aim general sale throughout the Territory.
! The people here know its efl. cts, rod have confi
dence in it. The supply you scut us, us whole
sale agents for the Territory, is nearly exhausted,
and daily inquiries are made for it. Vow deserve
I credit for your discovery; and I, for one, return
! von my thanks for the benefit it has done me, for
I certainly had despaired long ego of ever eflcct-
I ing any such result. Yours, hastily,

anything like the same pleasure or profit.

of the number.
Southerners wbo wish to spend thor summers

JULES HAUEL, Esq., the well known perfumer

products are found at almost every toilet, says:
I am happy to sav of your Cathartic Pills,
' that I have found them a better family medicine
for common use, than any other within my
knowledge. Many of my friends have realized
marked benefits from them and coincide with
me in believing that they possess extraordinary
j virtues for driving out diseases and curing the
sick. They are not only effectual but safe and
j pleasant to be taken, qualities which must make
? them valued by the public, when they are
kuown/ .
The venerable Chancellor Wurdlaw, writes from
j Baltimore, 15th April, 1854:
I “Dr. J. C. Ayer-—Sir: I have taken your Pills
| with great benefit, for the listlessuess, languor,
: loss of appetite, and Billious headaclK', which has
:of late years overtaken me in the spring. A few
doses of your Pills cured me. I have used your
Cherry Pectoral many years iu my family for
! coughs and colds with dufuiling success. You
