CATHARTIC PILES
OVER ATM by Utfeiv powerful iulliicmco on the
internal viscera to purify the blood and
islimu’a'e it into healthy action. They remove
the obstructions of the stomach, bowels, liver,
and other organs of the body, and, by restoring
their irregular action to health, correct, wherever
they exist, such derangements as are tlie lirst
causes of disease. An extensive .trial of their
virtues, by Professors, Physicians and Patients,
has shown euros of dangerous diseases almost
beyond belief, were they not substantiated by
persons of Such exalted position and character
as to forbid the suspicion of untruth. Their
eortitieats are published in my Al
manac which the agents below named are pleas
ed to furnish free to all inquiring.
Annexed \vq give Itirerduoyt for their use in
the complaints which ih.ty have been found to
cure.
Fon Costivenkss. — Take one or two Pills, or
sieh quantity as to gently move the bowels.
Costiveness is frequently tiie aggravating cause
of Piles, and the cuie of one complaint is the
cure of both. No person can feel well while
under a costive habit of boa v. Hence it should
be, ns it can be, promptly relieved
For Dyspepsia, which is sometime the cause
of (Justin'/its*, and always uncomfortable, take
mild doses—from one to four to stimulate the
stomach and liver into healthy action. They
will do it, and the heartburn , bo/i/tnin* and mm)-
burn of dyspepsia will rapidly disappear. When
it has go ie, don’t forget what cured you.
For a Fm i, Si'cm von, or Morbid Inaction of the
JioiveU, which pi o luces general depression of
the spirits and Iftl health, take from lour to
eight Pills at lirst, a id smaller doses afterwards,
until activity mid strength is restored to the
system.
’For NsavorsNEE.-, Sick llkaiucuu, N u ska,
Pah j in the Siam ich t Hack, or Sid ", t ike from
four to eight Pills on going tolled. If they do
uot opera to sutliciently, t.akv* more the next day
until they do. These complaints will be swept
out from the system, D *n’t wear these and
/their kindred disorders because your stomach is
foul.
For Scrofula, Kuvsipf.las, and alt Disease* of
the Skin, take the Pills freely and frequently, to
keep the bowels open. The eruptions will gen
erally soon begin to diminish and disappear.
Many dreadtul ulcers and sores have been healed
up by the purging and purifying effect of these
Pills, and some disgusting diseases which seemed
to saturate the whole system, have completely
yielded to their inlluence, leaving the sufferer in
perfect health. Patients! your duty to society
forbids that you should parade yourself around
the'"world, covered with pimples, blotches, ul
cers, sores, and all or any of the unclean dis
eases of the skin, because your system wants
cleansing.
To Purify the Blood, they are the best medi
cine ever discovered. They should he taken
freely and frequently, and the impurities which
sow the seeds of incurable diseases will he swept
out ot the system like chats before the wind, By
this property they do as much good in prevent
ing sickness as by the renurkublo cures which
they are making everywhere.
Livp.ii Complaint,’Jaundice, uni a n liiliaus
Affeotuua arise from some derangvuueut -either
torpidity, congestion, or obstruction of the Liver.
Torpidity and congestion vitiate the l>;!e, and
render it unfit for digestion. This is d'> istivus
M the health, and the constitution is frequently
undermined by uo other cause. Indigestion is
the symptom. Obstruction of tlu* duct which
mopties the bile into the atom ich cohos the bile
to verllow into the blood. This prudue > j om
dice, with a long and <1 .mgeiMus train of t-vil*.
Cvistiveuess, or after:mtcjy oostiveness and diarr*
rhoei, prevails. Feverish symptoms, languor,
low spirits, weariness, restlessness, and melan
choly, with sometimes inability to sleep, and
sometimes great drowsiness; sometimes there
is severe pain in the side; the skin and the white
of the eyes become a greenish yellow ; the .stom
ach acid; the bowels sore to the touch; the
whole system irritable, with a tendency to fever,
which mxy turn to bilious fever, bilious colic,
bilious diarrhoea, dysentery, Ac. A medium
dose of three or four Pills taken at night, follow
ed by two or three in the morning, and repeated
a few days, will remove the cause of all these
troubles. It is wicked to suffer such pains when
you ciin cure them fdr 25 cents.
Rheum atism. (Tout, and all /n fammatort/ 71-
are ramdly cured by the purifying effects
of these Pills upon the blood, and the stimulus
which they afford to the vital princple of life,
tor these and all kindred complaints, they shon’d
be taken in mild doses, to move’ the bowels
gently,hut freely.
LMnnbr this is b:>th agreeable ard
i*autil. No l*i(! cou be made more plrnsaut' to
»okc, and certainly none has (|ren m ide nwre
cltbcfnal to the purpose for which a dinner pill
is employed.

Diarrhoea, and similar Diseases of Children, it
being very pleasant to take and mild in its oper

This Remedy vrns used with perfect success by
! Dr. Appleby, the original Proprietor, during a ten
| years residence on the coast of Western Africa,
where Cholera, Diarrhoea, and Dysentery, in their
| most aggravated forms prevail and have ever
! proved so fatal to European residents. Since bis

j arrhcea Specific works like a charm.” Another
j says of it: “ The Specific has proved effectual in
every case in which I have known it us<d: two
or three doses being sometimes sufficient to effect
a cure.” We have many certificates of the per

is unsurpassed in the cure of many dis

A IF/numce of American, Border life. One vol
vme, \imo., Maslln, Price $1.25.
AMERICAN Novellas hare of late confined j
themselves mainly to sketches of social and I
domestic life. They have aimed to produce utinta- j
tures and cabinet pieces rather than historical pic- j
tures. The author of 8a k a too a has chosen a large '
canvas, and has wrought with a bolder hand.
By placing the scene of his story on what whs
then the verge of civilization, and portraying
characters trained in all the exigencies of border
life, he lias constructed a narat ive full of startling j
incident and thrilling adventure, without viola
ting the probabilities of history. The MSd, can- j
tious woodsman, Sandy Briglium, the watchful, j
taciturn Indian, Cat foot, and the wily, revengeful
half-breed, Joe, will compare favorably with the
best delimationsin the “ Leathers Tales” j

sessing merits equal to this tale of life on the bor- I
