ALL that I (land in view of Darier., on the Alatamaha, known by the name of Black Island, Containing about 300 acres of high land, and 900 acres of brackish and frefh marlh.— The high land isof the firft quality for Cotton, and the crop of the moll promising kind. It has alto this advantage, that it may be eaftly flowed ,with frefh water, and of course equally well adapted for the culture of rice as of cot ton. The high land giving complete security both for settlements and preservation of crops. It is well known from the fuccefsful experiments which major Butler lias made by planting limi lar lands, that they are not only very produc tive, but the quality of the cotton is much fu petior to that t ailed on the high land.
