UPON the petition of John M. Berrien, of the city
of Savannah, attorney at law, Hating that he is in
pofleflion of a certain written agreement, made and
executed by and between Andrew M‘Crcdie, late of
the said city of .Savannah, merchant, and the said pe
titioner, bearing date the day of February, in the
present year, 1807, whereby the said Andrew M'Cre
die covenanted, on or before the 10th day of March,
then next ensuing, to make, execute and deliver to the
said petitioner, good and indefeafible title, in fee fun
pla, to a certain lot of land in Broughton Street, in the
said city of Savannah, being lot No. |i, in Tyrconncl
i ything, Darby ward, with the buildings and improve,
ments thereon ; and further (hew ing to the court that
the (aid Andrew hath departed this life wit! out exe
cuting tile said titles, and that, David M‘Cre lie hath
taken upon himfelf the burthen of the adminiltration
ot the eilate ol the said Andrew, and also, furtiter da
ting, that the faia petitioner now is, and always hath
been ready to do and perform all and lingular the co
venant* in the said agreement stipulated to be by hint,

of Chatham, in the (fate of Georgia, p'anttr, (fa
ting, that a certain deed of gift made and executed bj
William M l Donald, formerly of the purifti cf ft.
George, then province, now ftateof Georgia, by which
he gave and convened umo his wile Margaret, his
(on John, and his daughter Mary McDonald, after
wards Mary Chrtftic, and to the survivor or surviv
ors of them, their heir and aftigns forever, all his es
tate, real and personal, v. hatfoever and wheresoever
situate, with the rights members and appurtenances to
the laid landed, or real estate belonging, ami the future
issue and encreafe of the female slaves, and his ftoclc of
every kind, bearing date the firft day of July in the
year cf cur lord one thoitfand seven hundred and !ix
ty three, (a copy w hereof as nearly as the petitioner
could recollect was annexed to the said petition, is now
lodged in the clerk’s oftice together with an affidavit
pursuant to the laws of force in this state in fu h ca
ll.!) that the said deed cfgift was loft, or dekroyed by
time, accident, or during the revolutionary war; and
praying the benefit intended by the law sos force iu
this state, for the purpose of eftablilhing loft papers,and
other circun.ftantial proof being laid before the court.
It is ordered that the said deed of gift be eftablilhed
as directed by law, cn the laid Barrack Gibbon’s pub
lishing a weekly notice in one of our public Gazettes
of this state, for the space of fix Callandar months;
unless good and fufficient cause (hall be ihewn to the
contrary within the laid fix months, or other matter

John Graham, late of the province of Georgia,
to John Caldwell, late of South-Carolina, lor
twelve hundred acres of land, inutile in tliepre
sent county of Liberty, in the state cf Georgia,
known by the name of Jlaillic’s neck; bommed
south end southwest on Aoith-Xcwport river
and land cf Robert Nobles, cast and northeast
on land of George Nobles and vacant land, and
north and northwest on vacant land, bearing date
the day of , one thousand seven hun
dred and sixty-four ; a copy whereof,asncarly as
the petitioner could recollect, was annexed to
said petition, is now lodgedm the clerk’s office,
together with an affidu’ it, pursuant to the acts
of this state, of force in such cases, has been
lost or destroyed ; and praying the benefit in
tended by the aforesaid acts, and other circum
stantial proof being laid before the court: It is

washer, &c. and occaiionally has worked in the
field. I expedf that said wench has gone to
Augusta, or was landed at Purisburgh, as I
have icafon to apprehend, that she left this
in one of the Augulta boats.
