ON the petition of Moses Way,of said coun
ty, planter, stating that he was possessed
ol a certain deed or title to some negroes, and
personal property, as trustee, for the use of
Mrs. Rebecca Shearer, and her issue, a copy
whereof, as nearly as the petitioner could re
collect, was annexed to said petition, and is now
lodged in the clerk’s otlice, together with affi
davits pursuant, to the act of Assembly, has
been lost or destroyed—and praying-the bene
fit intended by said acts, and other circumstan
tial proof being laid before Court—
Ii in ordered, That the said deed, or title ot
sale, from Matthew Sheater, Sc Rebecca Shear
er, his wife, to Moses Way, of Negroes and
tjonie personal property, be established as di
rected by law. on the said Moses Way’s pub
lishing a weekly notice in one of the public
gazettes of this state, for the space of six ca
lendar months, unless g’ od cause shall lie
shewn to the contrary within the said six months,
or other matter shall appear to the court a

T TPOX the petition of Thomas Young, of
the city of .savannah, in the state, of Geor
gia, planter, slating a Deedof Conveyance from
John Graham, late of the province of Georgia,
to John Caldwell, late of South-Carolina, lot
twelve hundred acres of land, situate in the pre
sent county ol Liberty, in the state of Georgia,
known by the name of lluiibc’s neck ; hounded
south and southwest on North-Newporl river
and land of Robert Nobles, east and northeast
on land ol George Nobles and vacant lane, and
north and northwest on \ acant land, bearing date
the day of , one thousand seven hun
dred and sixty-four; a copy whereof, as nearly as
the petitioner could recollect, was annexed to
said petition, is now lodged m the clerk’s office,
together with an affidavit,pursuant to the acts
of this state, of force in such cases, has been
lost or destroyed ; and praying the benefit in
tended by the ufoiesaid acts, and other circum
stantial proof being laid before the court : It is
ordered, that the said Deed of Conveyance,
from the said John Graham to John Caldwell,
for the land aforesaid, be established as direct
ed by law. on the sai l Thomas Young publish
ing a weekly notice, in one of our public ga
zettes of this stale, for the space of six calen
der months, unless good and sufficient cause
shall he shewn to the contrary, within the said
six months, or other matter shall appear to the
court against the same.
