THE REPUBLICAN; And SAVANNAH EVENING LEDGER. [VOL. July n. o 7S SLOOP EXPERIMENT, FOR PASS ENG KR S OjYLY. li>.uid .*. bunl.ei, B-EGSIe ave to inform his friends and the public, that he will, on the firth of July, commence running a Bloop, of about one hundred and ten tons burthen, be tween the cities of NEW-YORK and HUDSON, lor the purpose of carrying passengers. ‘ Few people, who have had occasion to take pa (Page lip or down the North River, but have experienced the inconvenience and rifque of going on hoard veflels deeply loaded and lumbered on deck ; therefore cap tain Bunker has determined to take no freight on hoard the Experiment, which wili remedy that inconvenience and entirely do away the rifque. The owners of this vessel, being desirous to rerder the pafiage as short, convenient and agreeable as pos sible, have not only taken care to fuinilh her v.-ith the bed Beds, Bedding, Liquors, Provilions, &c. but they have been at very great expense and trouble in pro., ur ing materials and bui ding her on the belt construction for failing and for the accommodation of ladies and gen tlemen travelling on bulir.ess or for plealurt. The Experiment will leave Neiy-York every Wed nesday evening precisely at 6 o'clock, and Hudson every Sunuay morning at 8 o’clock, through the lea fon. Captain Bunker having en several years engaged in the freighting bulinefs between Ncw-York ana Hud son, has become weil acquainted with every part of tr.e fiver ; and he hopes, by attention and punctuality, to merit the patronage of ladies and gentlemen trom the southward, who may visit the celebrated Ballston, Caratoga, and Lebanon Springs, or trave eis who may have occasion to trave: thiou; h the northern dates. The Ihortr.els of the pallagc to Hudson, when compared with that to Albany, or any place above Hudson, (where the river is impeded by bars, ilia ils and overflows that render it ‘mpoffible for fa : failing veflels to pals) he thinks wil’ induce molt peop e who ate acquainted with the difference, to take passage to Ilndloi, where carriages or boats can at ail times be had at a moderate expense, to convey them to Albany, Troy, L.uifmgburgh, or the Lebanon Springs, which •are about SO mites dittance.
