THE celebrity of Dr. Buchan’s Mhdtcai.
Works, as well as their universally acknowledged
utility, render ary commendation, at prel’ent, wholly
useless. The present edition, however, lias several
advantages ; a little before the death of the Doctor.
(1805) he reviled the Domefftc Medicine, and besides
conliderable amendments, he added several intereft
mg new I'm jests or heads—and as the Vaccination or
Cow Pox has become an important branch in the Me
dical Art, this edition will contain the bell informa
tion on that head.
The ADVICE TO MOTHERS, which will be
a’ ded to this edition, is a late production of this
celebrated phyfictan—The Philadelphia Literary
Magazine, in noticing this work, fays, “ This per
forfnance is one of the mod ufeful and agreeable
hat could have been transplanted to our foil. The
author is an old man, but lie writes in an entertain
