Brigade Orders. IN PUKSUAiNCE of division orders cf the 26th July. tl:e Biigadier-Ueiicial of the first brigade orders tfie respective lieutcnaiit-colo ticls under his command, to have their ref(i nu nts atal battalions under arms at their usual t,laces of parade, on the sth day of September next, by the hour of 11 o’clock of that day, and ate hereby ordered to inspect and correctly as certain the state and situation ol the arms, am munition and accoutrements of the respective remitt ents, battalions and volunteer corps ; and they are further ordered to make such arrange ments, that their regiments or battalions can, ©n the shortest notice, be brought to the sup port of the others in case of an attack, or in Carrying the provisions of the proclamation of the President of the United States into effect. The Brigadier-General enjoins—most se riously enjoins every officer and soldier to fa miliarise himself with his dutv as such, and to appear with their arms and equipments it: complete older, ready to take the field, should It lie required, m support of their countiy’s rights. On the efficiency of those means, depends the honor, life, liberty and fortune of a free and independent people, whose courage and pat riotism cannot Ire questioned. Officers acting under these orders will be vi •gilant m impressing on the minds of those un der their control, the expediency of a general “ turn-out” and as being indicative of theii readiness and willingness to execute, with avi dity, the voluntary offer of their services to their country, By order of Brig.
