Notice is hereby given, that in con
formity with the provisions of the act
supplementary to the act, intituh and
“ .An act making provision for the re
demption of the whole of the public
debt of the United States,” books will
be open at the office of the commis
sioner of loans for Georgia, on the first
day of July nernt, to continue open un
til the seventeenth day of March, 1808,
inclusively, the fourteen last days cl
each quarter excepted, for the purpose
of receiving subscriptions lor such
parts of the old six per cent, deferred
six per cent, and three percent, stocks,
as may, on the day of subscription,
stand on the books of the said com
missioner of loans.
Those proprietors of the old six per
cent, and deferred stocks, who may
subscribe, will receive in lieu thereof
anew six per cent, stock, equal to the
unredeemed amount of the stock sur
rendered, redeemable at the pleasure
of the United States, under a pros iso,
however, that no reimbursement shall
be made except for the whole amount
of any such new certificate of stock,
nor till after six months previous no
tice : and the proprietors of the three
per cent, stock who may subscribe,
! will receive in lieu thereof, a six per
i cent stock, equal to sixty-five per cent.
!: of the amount of three per cent, sur
j rendered, redeemable in the same
l manner as the new six per cent, above
-5 mentioned but not reimbursable, how
ii ever, without the assent of the holders,
l until after the uhole of the new six
f per cent, (given in exchange for old
jj six or deferred as above mentioned) as
| well as the whole of the eight per cent,
[stock of the United States, shall have
I been reimbursed. It is also provided,
| that in every reimbursement which
| may take place, a preference v, iil be
| given to those creditors who may no
li tily their wish to be reimbursed; and
that if the applications of that effect
shall at any time eitiier exceed or fall
short of the sum then applicable to that
purpose, the priority of payment shall,
so far as may be necessary, be deter
mined by lot.
The present stock-holders who re
side in any part of Europe, and may
assent to that modification, may, at
their option, receive the interest accru
ing on the new stock, either in the U
nited States as heretofore, or in Lon
don or Amsterdam, at par; in which
last case, the interest will be paid there
Ijy the bankers of the United States,
six months subsequent to the day on
which the same would be payable
in the United States and subject to
no variation ; nor to any other deduc
tion than a commission to the bankers,
of one half per cent, on the interest thus
paid.

sent county of Liberty, in the state of Georgia,
known by the name of IJailhe’s neck; bounded
soutli and southwest on harth-Newpott river
aid land of Robert Nobles, east end northeast
on land of George Nobles and vacant land, and
north and northwest on vacant land, bearing date
the day of- , one thousand seven hun
dred and sixty-four ; a copy whereof, asncai !y as
the petitioner could recollect, was annexed to
said petition, is now lodged in the clerk’s office,
together with an affidavit, pursuant to the acts
of this state, of force in such cases, has-been
lost or destroyed; and praying the benefit in*
tended by the aforesaid acts, and other circum
stantial proof being laid befoie the court : It is
ordered, that the said Deed of Conveyance,
from the said John Graham to John Caldwell,
for the land aforesaid, be established as direct

ON the petition of Barrack Gibbons, of the"county
of Chatham, in the state of Georgia, planter, ha
ting, that a certain deed of gift made and executed by
William M'Donald, formerly of the parilh of St.
George, then province,now state of Georgia, by which
he gave and Oociventd umo his wife Margaret, his
son John, and his daughter Mary M'Dcnald, after
wards Mary Chrsflie, and to the survivor or surviv
ors of them, their he:r and assigns forever, all his es
tate, real and personal, whatsoever and wheresoever
fituatc, with the tights members and appurtenances to
the said landed, or real ellate belonging, and the luture
issue andencreafe of the female Haves, and his ftcck of
every hind, beating date the fill! day of July in the
year of our lord one thousand leven hundred and six
ty three, (a copy w hereof as nearly as the petitioner
could recollect was annexed to the said petition, is now
lodged in the clerk’s office together with an affidavit
purluant to the laws of force in this state in such ca
ses) that the laid deed of gift was 1011, or destroyed by
time, accident, or during the revolutionary war; and
praying the benefit intended by the laws of force in
this state, for the purpose of eilabiiihmg loft papers,and
other circumftantia: proof being laid before the court.
It is ordered that the said deed of gift be ettabliihed
as dire.ted by law, on the said Barrack Gibbon’s pub
