’ Stage- on the line from SAVANNAH to ST.
MARY S, relpeufully inform thole who may have
oecafion to travel to any part ot that route, that they
have, at a great ettpence, procured new stages, ood
hor es, and a careful driver, for the accommodation sf
pafTcngers Also, an excellent, tale and well manned
boat, for water-conveyance.
They intend running the stage twice a week be
tween Savannah and Darien, during the winter; and
will keep a light 1 XTRA STAGE, for the accommo
dation of private parties, or others who may be dilap
pointed in the mail stage. They will also carry park
ages oi goods, on moderate terms, and be responsible
for their delivery, as direiSed.any where along the line,
(unavoidable accidents excepted.) They trust that their
exertions to lerve the public will meet with support.

shat of the said district , greeting.
WHEREAS a libel hath been fi ed and exhibited
in the said court against the brig Fortune, her tackle,
furniture and apparel, whereof Theophilus Elsworth
is .nafter and commander, for a sum of money due to
Davis and Carroll of the city of Cha lefton, in the flare
•f South Carolina, merchants, on bottomry of the said
brig. Now, therefore, you are commanded to cite
and admouilh the mailer, owner, and all other per
son who have, or pretend to have, any right, interest,
property c airn or demand in, to, or upon the (aid brig,
called the Fortune, now riding at anchor in the port of
Savannah, whereof the said Theophilus F.lfworth now
is, -r late was mailer, to he and appear before the hon
orable William Stephens, efq judge of the Dillridl
Court, for the diilriift of Georgia, at a special court of
admi ally, to he held at lavannah on Monday the
ninth day of November next,at ten o’clock in the fore

ty of John Wood, by virtue of an execution obtain
ed by Charles M. Lide.

The plantation called LENDEN HILL, consist
ing of two thirds of a tract of land, situate and ly
ing on the north fide of Crooked River, in the coun
ty of Camden, in this state, originally granted to
Jacob Weed, about the year 1779, containing by ori
ginal survey, 719 acres, or thereabouts, bounded on
the south by Crooked River, on the eall, Crooked
Creek and vacant marfn or rr.arlh supposed to be va
cant, on the weft by lands belonging to the estate of
Woodford Mabry-and to George Woodruff, and on
the north by lands belonging to the estate of genera!
Greene. The laid two thirds of fai.t traft amount
ing to four hundred acres, more or le*'s, being situate
at the upper or weft end of said trail, adjoining
Mabry and Woodruff’s trails as aforefaid, and divi
ded or to be divided oft’ from the balance of the ori
ginal survey, by a line commencing on Crooked Rtv
er, and running back ccrofs the said survey, and
which was lately conveyed by James Seagrove, eiq.
of St. Mary’s, to James Johnston, efq- of Savannah,
in trust to and for the use and behoof of the wife
and children of the said John Wood. Also, with
the improvements on the trail, the crop of cotton,
corn, and other provisions, two mules, flock of cat
tle, and feme heufehold furniture.

THE BOARD OP FIRE MASTERS, from s
late inspection of the Fire Buckets, are induced to
recommend to the citizens, a due observance of the
Fire Ordinance, by keeping their Fire Buckets in good
order, and lettered, and in fafe convenient places The
law will be rigidly enforced against all those who ufo
fire bjckets, except in case of alarm.

therefore it is supposed he keeps about Savannah river,
or Whitmarlb and the neighboring islands. He belong#
to the eflate of W r . Neyle deceufed, is wel known a
bout town, and lately had a wench of the late Mrs.
Shick as a wife. All mailers of Vefiels are cautioned
against carrying off the said negro. Fifty Pillars will
he paid on conviction in a court of jullice, of his having
been harbored by a white, and twenty-five dollars by a
black person.
