carried away leveral other suits with her. She is about
55 years of age, is very cunning and plaufiblc in her
Itories ; has a fear on the back part of her head, where
Ihe was burnt with fire when ihe was finall, and the
hair has never grown there finee. She is well known
about White-Bluff and Savannah.
The abrere ward will be paid to any one who will
deliver her to the fubferiber on Colonel’s-Island; to
Mr Will am Woodbkidoe, in Savannah ; or to the
matter of Savannah goal.

THE BOARD OF FIRE MASTERS, from a
[ate inlpection of the Fire Buckets, are induced to
recommend to the citizens, a due observance of the
File Ordinance, liy keeping their Fire Bucket* in good
order, and lettei ed, and in fafe convenient places. The
law will be rigidly enforced against all thole who use
fire b .ckets, except in case of alarm.

Hereby give notice, that they will receive propo

STRUCTING 01 SIX BUOYS, conformable to one
finifhed, and one half fmifhed, to be fecn, as fuecL
mens of the work required, at Melfrs Rrbert tc ]ohn
Bolton’s wharf. The buoys mull be made of the bell
pitch pine, and lo conllnifled as to Tuit the iron
work already piupared and be similar to the buoy
which is now to be l'ten finifhed. The. uufinifhed
buoy is alio to be completed. Security will be
requited for the faithfulntfs of the workmanlhip,
guaranteeing that they fliall be water-tight. IVopu
fals arc to be left, with me, fe .led, and at the iirft
board after the firll day ot next December, the con
tract will be given to the lovvell offerer, under equal
fccurity for the faithful performance cf the work
the ablolute fecurttv required will be expected to ex-,
tend to the tightness ot tlte buo) s for twelve months.
No advances will be made ; but, as loon as fcnilhed
aud approved of by the board, the contrail on their
part will be complied with mftanter.
The objefi being that of permanent ufefulnefs to
the trade of the port, it is expected every offer will
be predicated, on the ground of fecunty, to embrace
the competency of the work for a fpeclfied number
of years ; but, as above llated, to be water-tight for
twelve months, mult be ablolute—hence, in the offers
that may be made, the term of years for which fecu
nty will be given mull be fpecified.
Any enquiries which may * Kplam the views of the
commiffic ners further, will be anf.vertd by either of
them. The fecunty offered in whole or in part of
the foregoing intention, mult be named in tlie propo
lals offered ; and it wilt be remembered, that fecunty
will only be required against ordinary occurrences,
not the evems of delibeiate violence, nor extraordi
nary unintended casualties.
