The Adjutanl-Generid being required by ge
neral orders ol die 14th of December last, to
proceed to the annual convention of field, staff,
Company, commissioned ami non-commission
<d officers in older to instruct them in the dis
cipline prescribed by congress, as also to teach
<lre privates in the respective regiments and
Battalions their duty in the field ; and he hav
ing notified the Brigadier-General, that,in com
pliance therewith, he purposes to attend in the
first brigade, first division, at the following pe
riods, viz.
On Monday the 14th day of March next en
tiling, the review of inspection of the third bat
talion, Effingham county.
On Tuesday the 15th of March, the review
of inspection of the second, or county battal
ion, Chatham county.
(in Wednesday and Thursday the 16th and
ITth of March, at Tort H'ayne, the review of
Inspection of flic commissioned and non-com
tpissioned officers of the first regiment; and
On Monday and Tuesday, the 21st and 22d
of A/arch, at Riceborough, the review of in
spection of the commissioned and non-com
tDLssioncd officers cf the third regiment.
On Thursday the 24th of A/arch, the re
view of inspection of the sth battalion, .Aryan
county.
On Saturdav the 26th of March, the review
of inspection of the 4th battalion, Liberty coun
ty
On Monday the 28th of March, the review
of inspection of the 6th battalion, M‘lntosh
bounty.
Ort Thursday the 31st of March, and Fri

cf inspection of the commissioned and non

dnd fourth legiments will convene at the pla
tes on the days and hours as before directed,
respectively, armed, accoutred and provided
agreeable to the loth section of the miliiia
law, to bfe instructed in the discipline prescrib
ed by congress.
Brigade-major G. R- Duke will, without
clclay, furnish each commanding officer of a
regiment or battalion, within this brigade, w ith
a copy of these orders.

For Sale,
A tract of about 3000 acres of PINE LAND,
situated on the Lower Three Runs, in South
Carolina ; a considerable proportion of which
is of u good quality, and fit for the culture of cot
ton, corn, tec. and is chiefly well timbered. It
has an excellent and constant stream of water,
well calculated to carry a grist-mill and cotton
gin, without interruption at any time of the
year ; and in addition to this, it is large enough,
at certain seasons, to work a Saw Mill, of one or
two saws. A substantial dam is already made
(cross the stream. Sonic part of the Land is
cleared, and there are a few negro houses on it.
i o a person inclined to keep a store and pur
chase cotton in the seed, tins situation would be
extremely profitable. Persons who are desir
ous of purchasing Lands in this neighborhood,
and wish to live on a healty spot, would do well
to take a view of this tract, and judge for them
