Dupont de Nemours and Co. at their powder woiks'on the Brandywine, has been blown up by some villain who introduced into one of the mortars an iron ball weighing about a pound and a hall. The proprietors have offered a reward of 15C0 dollars for his detection.—A. T. paper. Nashville, (Ten.) Oct. 15. A report has reached town, by a gentleman bom Shelbyvilie, that a courier front col. Jo seph H. Daviess of Kentucky, to the governor, states, that he has had a rencontre * with the Indians on the Wabash. He commanded 800 mounted dragoons, and cn their approach, the Indians, 150 strong, iired on hi;n and kilted 14 of iiis men.
