Shipwreck of the schooner Hiravt--~Oa
Tues=lay the 22d of October, 1811, was driven
ashore about 22 milts to the S.-W. of Ocracok
bar, the soltooner Hiram, of Falmouth, (Mass.}
Berzillai Lewis, master, which sailed some
time in October last, from New-York, bound
to Wilmington, N. C. as appears by her clear
ance. She was found driven on shore-with her
foremast carried away and hanging to the lai-
board bow, with the tigging, sails, See. both an
chors overboard, with the bites of the cable

Dr. Jaities Luoit, has addressed a letter to

About 20,000 French troops have lately en

As to seamen or hands, except the captain,
cannot tell who or how many there were, being
no shipping paper, of this voyage found yet.
Four of the men have been found, and I have
li*d them buried in coffins. Neither of the wo
men have yet been found. Shou'd they be,
they will be buried as well as their situation
and the pl;>ce will admit of. A. more minute
account will be given as soon as I can collect
information from the papers, See. which from
their wet state has yet been impossible, in
the meantime 1 beg this would be published,
or such part of it as may circulate within the
reach of any of the connexions of those who ary
supposed to be no more. From the situation of
the property saved, it is deemed best to he sold,
and will be disposed of, on Wednesday the 6th

21st year of her age. As a wife, a daughter, sis
ter and a friend, her worth whilst living, can
only be fully expressed by those who now feel

endearing ties, by her death. Uniform in the he
lief and practice of the religion of Jesus Christ,
she contemplated the indication of an ap
proaching change without the least dismay, sur
rounded by her weeping friends, for them she

Mr. Lawrence Smith, Drawing Master, from
Trenton, N. J. respectfully informs the citizens
of Savannah, that at the solicitation of several
respectable inhabitants, he proposes to teach
drawing generally, and begs leave to assure
tho-m who think proper to employ him, that
nothing shall be wanted on his part to initiate
his pupils in the princip’es of Drawing. He
also teaches that fashionable style ot ornament
