Thht war and a state of hostilities exist be
tween the united kingdom of Great-Britaic *
and Iceland,'and the dependencies thereof, and
the United States of America and their territo
ries, and captures and seizures of enemies*
property, authorised and enjoined on all officers
of the United Slates; that the libellant, theie-
fore. in and with the said schooner, duly com
missioned and authorised, agteeably to law^
and her cfficersand crew, on the fifeenth day
of September last past, did subdue, seize arid
take upon the high, seas, the'said ship Princess
Amelia, of the burthen of about tons,
with her tackle, apparel and furniture, and
hath brought her into the port of Savannah,
and within the jurisdiction of this honorable
couit, Y/heie she now is.
1 hat the said ship Princess Amelia, at the
time of the said capture thereof, was under
the command of one Isaac Moorson, and had
on board besides the said commander thereof,
twent jr.-eight English mariners, and three Eng
lish passengers ; that the said ship Prinres®
Amelia at the time of the time of the said cap-
lure was a British- vessel, sailing under (ltd
flag of Great-Britain, and owned and navigat
ed by subjects of Great-Britain.
That all and singular the premises are and
Were true, public ard notorious, and that by
the laws of the United States of America, as
well as by the law of nations, be said ship
Princess Amelia, with her tackle, apparel, fur
niture and guns, became, and was, and is for
feited.
And the libellant prays that the said, ship,
her tackle &c» may, by wafrant undertthe seal
cf i his court, be attached, and the usual process
and monition of this court, in this behalf, be
made, and that the same way be condemned

Now, therefore, you, the said marshal, are
hereby commanded, to cite and admonish alt
and every person and persons having, or claim
ing any interest in the said ship Princess
Amelia, her tackle, apparel, furniture and
guns, or eny part thereof, to be and appear at
a special coifrt of admiralty, to be held at the
court-house, in the city of Savannah, in said dis
trict, on the nineteenth day of October inst.

any they can, why the prayer of the libel
should not be g>anted; and whatsoever you
shall do herein certify to the judge of‘the said
