The subscriber sent to the Post Office, at
Alford’s store, in Hancock county, Georgia, a
letter dated November 15, 1814, addressed to
the Rev Ezra Fisk, of Goshen, Orange county,
Jvew York, inclosing a note on the bank of
iiouih Carolina for SlOO, No. 1958, dated
March 4, 1802, payable to dtaweror bearer, J.
Jones, pres.tie it.
By carelessness or fraud, somewhere, this
letter and note never reached Mr. Fisk. To
detect such things, is matter of national inter
est as well as individual. Patriotic editors
will no doubt think so, and as friends to the safe
intercourse ot he citizens, publish once or
twice or tbe above.
