No patrol man will he allowed on any pre text to enter any building upon his beat, except to quell a disturbance. No buikting will be searched for stolen or contraband goods without a written order from the Chief of Police, his Assist ant, or the Captain of Police. IX. It ctinll be the duty of each patrol nian to strictly follow these instruction*, and obey all orders he may, fr -m time to time, receive from his superior officer. X. All persons Who pay the lees prescribed by the old ordinances of the City of Savannah, may .-ell butch er’s meat, poultry', fruit, fi-di, vegetable* and all other kinds or provisions, subject to a scale of prices which shall be established by the Post Treasurer, and posted in two conspicuous places in the Market. 2. The Market shall tr tbe opened on Sundays. On other days it shall be open from four o’clock to nine o'clock in the morning, and on Saturday*, ulso from three o'clock to eight o’clock in the afternoon Tb.e Market shall closs at the ringinz of the Mar ket bell. 3. Every person killing an ox, or cow, or grown meat cattle, and exposing the same for sale within the city, shall take the hide and head of said animal slaughtered, attached to each other and not severed, to the Clerk of the Market, who shall record any marks abont the same, and the day of the month it was brought to the market, and the book shall be Subject to the inspection of any person driving market hours. Any violations of the foregoing, or neglect on the part of the Clerk in not keeping the proper records, will be punished by fine. 4. Tlie Clerk of the Marks will be responsible for the correctnessaf weights and measures used in the Market, und will, from time to time, examine the same, und de stroy fatso weights and measure* when found, and will report the names of the oßendi g parties to the Post Treasurer. He will also collect the Market licenses and f, e3 prescribed by the old Ordinances of ’he City*. He will act under the orders of the Post Trmsutvr, and will account tor and pay over to him each Saturday the mo nic* received from such licenses and fee* during the pre ceding week. His will cause the Market end adjacent ground* to he thoroughly policed each day, aud the wood worn of the Market w ill bo white wash, and once each week. 5. Any person exposing for sale, in the market, any ar ticles of marketing at a higher price than that ostaldi-h ed for the same in the schedule of prices, will l>e sobject to a fine and the forfeiture of all right to make tint her sale* in the market.
