In some articles there is still an upward tendency o”ing to an advance in northern markets, but as yet an advance is not in ftp In the money market there is more case, and all ex changes, except on London, sell promptly at hvorable rates. , Sight on New Tfork is at X per cent, discount Sterling c is Without, quotation, the recent decline in gold having unsettled the market. CoiTow—The market during the week has been ex tremely feeble, and we hear ot but few sales with hsrdly s shsde difference in quotations from those a* the ciose of last week's operations. The receipts since March 1 have been 9,789 bales of Upland and 186 Sea Island. The exporta during the same period have been 8,452 bales Upland and 104 Sea Island, leaving on hand and on shipboard, not cleared, a stock of 17,396 bales Upland, and 1,240 bales Sea Island. ITices have not materially changed, though, with an upward tendency. We quote prime Goshen, in tubs, at 46®59c; in firkinB at 45'2>48e. Biscuit—The market continues well supplied, but the demand moderate. We have no change to note in prices, nnd quote soda biscuit at 12c; sugar at 16c; but ler at 12c; lemon, in boxes, 20c; in bbls ISc; Boston 13c. Cirrc—There is no change in the market. The stock on hand is good and the demand fair. Prices remain nrm at last week's quotations. Champagne ci der $17 si bbl; and Thompson's preserved (40 gal.) at $20 ¥ bbL Coftee—There is but a moderate demand for coffee and no arrivals. ‘Prices remain firm and we quota 8t. Dr-mingo at 29(2,30c; Rio at 28®31c; and Java at 42 (243c. Corn —The market remains glutted and vary much depreased with a small demand, and prices are still declining. We hear of one large sale of 4,000 bushels Prim* white St $1 15. There is but little prime mixed Western in the market, and that is held at $1 16 In bulk from store; prime yellow is held at $112>4; and white at 41 15@$1 20 from wharf. he market continues well stocked. Prices it the same. Wc quote all grades at $14 50. -Continue in fair demand for the interior prices are without notable change. We nan lino at 26® 30c; and Hull's at 25@27c. . xf-Thc supply in the market is good, with a fair degund, and prices remain firm, with an upwsrd tendency. We quote State dairy at 23®24c; cresm 25m 26c; extra cream firm at 26c; English dairy 25(2,30c; and pineapple at 36®40c. Flour—We have no improvement to notice in tlio market, which is well supplied, with a fair demand, and prices remain firm at our last quotations. Good Ohio $10 ; good Family $12® $14 ; and ordinary $8 00 ®$10. ' Fruit.—The market continues dull with vory few arrivals, and prices remain about at last week's figures. Oamges arc more plenty, and prices have declined. They are selling at $4®»o 9 box ; lemons arc more plentiful, and selling at $4@$6 ¥ box. We quote litis at 2f>®35c per drum; cocoanuts, $14 $ 100; almonds, 24®25c fl It; walnuts, 24c $ lb; palm nuts, 23c; prunes in jars, 49c, and plums, 22c 78 lb. Gci.rowdeb.—The market is well supplied, with but moderate demand. PrieeB remain as last week, and we quote Hazard’s Miiia Kentucky R. P. Powder, in kegB, at $10 5u; in half kegs, $5 75; quarters, $3; Fairlawn brand, in cases, 75c 78 lb; Kentucky llifle, in cases, 80c; Indian Rifle, in canisters, 80c. Hat.—There have been small arrivals, and the de mand from thb. interior continues good. Price* remain lirm. and we quote prime northern, from wharf, at $1 85, and from store at $2 $ 100 lbs. Molasses—The market remains unchanged- The supply is good and dernsnd moderate. Prices are about the same as at the close of our last weekly re port.
