Yeast Powders.
T HESE Powders are an admirable substitute
for yeast, in making all kinds of batter cakes,
and have tlie advantage over that article in ma
king tlie batter perfecUy light and ready for ba
king the instant they arc ratxed. Buckwheat and
other cakes, when made with these powders, aru
less likely to disagree with the stomach than those
made with yeast; and as it requires but a few min
utes to prepare for baking, the possibility of eve
having them sour, is entirely avoided. The good
effect of mixing cake nnd biscuit with these pow
ders, has been approved by mnny of the most em
inent physicians nnd surgeons iifthis country.—
They are uUo highly recommended by mnny of
the firrt families in this city and other pluces.
