T HIS remedy counteracts the whole train of disenses arising from tht. debility of the di- gestivq organs or a depraved condition of the sto mach and bowels. Most of the disenses ofchildren originate in ver minous affections. Worms destroy the nourishment which is in tended by nnture to support life. The immediate effect ofSwamiVVennifuge aro to tranquilize the stomach, clear it ofucidous phlegm, dissipate superfluous bile,, increase tho grnsticjuicu8uud promote healthy digestion. It alleviates sick headache, and is an nntedoto for tho Cholera Morbus of our country, diarrheua, fever and ague, and that doss of diseases which owe their origin to a disordered state of llio sto mach and bowels. ' . This remedy expels worms by giving healthy action to the stomach and organs of digestion.— There is nothing in its composition to kill worms. They are seldom seen nfler its use, and the pa tient* improves in health, color and appotite.— Those remedies which kill worms must of course injure the stomach materially, mid the cause of many serious complaints. This fuct has been ma terially neglected by tho faculty, and the error bus never been discovered until Swaini’s Vermifuge proved it to the entiro satisfaction of every firnnly who has used it. „ The medicine is no less efficacious in many ol the diseases of grown persons,by dissipating those morbid secretions which*produco dysentery, diar- rheen, cholera morbus, piles, fever and ague, dys pepsia, acidity of the stomach, foul breath, and the disagreeable affections conscquentupon bilious disorders. , . . _ r It is now in general use 111 most parts or the world. HENDRICKSON. From tlio Pennsylvania Inquirer, of May 3,1834. Rowtuid’s Tonic mixture. M R. EDITOR—Much ns tho powers oftliis favorite remedy have boon extolled, I call- not omit this opportunity ofdeclaring iny decided conviction that ovory account of the sauutivo vir tues of tho Mixture will be verified to the full ex tent. Whatever be die character oftlio complaint —whether unequal tertian—double or simple quartan—however varied ho its typo, attended with syncope, apoplexy, vehement spasms, with coldness and stupor—whatever its duration, whe ther venial or autumiinl, laying tho foundation for visceral affections, and other slow but unerringly fatal maladies—however irregular in their inva sion, aud uncommon in their appearances—in fine, whatever bo tlio age, idiosyncrasy, or habits of the patient, the complaint ufike bids adieu on the duo administration of the Tonic Mixture.— This is no high-wrought panegyric for tho exper iment. I speak only from wlmt 1 positively know however successful oilier preparations may havo been, there can he little reliiuico placed upon them when compared with this article. By strict ly following tlio directions that accompany the bottle, we find it nets upon the most scientific principle—for, it seems to anticipate tlio return of the cold fit, and excites a strong reaction, nnd powerful glow over die whole system; and thus to pre-occupy the ground, and by disturbing the regularity of the type, to subdue die intermittent altogether. Under such a course of medicine, I have been astonished to notice with what haste die disease beats ultimi for a retreat, and die pros trated strength of the system rallies. It is a pow erful, yet mild medicine—subsdtudng calmness, tranquillity, and balmy sleep,in place of pain, wea riness, and restless nights—a renovation of long- lost strengdi and robust health, iu lieu of feeble ness and emaciation. And I confidently believe, and I predicate my opinion upon die most sub stantial proof, dial under whatever ok)—iu what ever corner of tho earth—whether upon hill or valley, wherever fever and ngueiiinkes its appear ance, there also will “Rowand’s Tonic Mixture" find its way—die happy desideratum, die perfect antidote. N. LEE, M. D. OCTOno of the best recommendations that con he given diis medicine is the following:—Physi cians living in Fever and Aguo districts, who have become acquainted with its efficacy, are in die habit of ordering it to be used in their own prac tice. From the Jlarrisburg Intelligencer of June, 1833. Mr. Wyeth—Having long been ufilicted iu my family widi Fever und Ague, and having tried ev ery means to get rid of it without avail, I at length met with your advertisement of Rowand’s genu ine Tonic Mixture, which I determined to try. After using it, my wife was entirely restored to health, having suffered for fifteen months from die debilitating effects of Fevorand Ague, and is now hearty and stout as slio ever was. BERNHARD MAY.
